WHY GET A HOME INSPECTION?
Buying a home is one of the most significant decisions – and one of the biggest investments – most people will ever make. Getting your home inspected is your one chance as a buyer to identify and correct major problems with a building before closing on the property. The home inspection consists of a thorough check of the roof, exterior, structural members, and all mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.). Many problems associated with both older and new homes are hidden to the untrained eye. 25 % of the inspections performed by AHI Home & Building Inspection are on homes under three years old, and we find problems with 100% of them.
HOME BUYERS: A buyer needs a home inspection to find out all the problems with a home before they complete the purchase. A professional home inspection will allow you to buy with confidence. Feel Confident about your home purchase.
SELLERS: A pre-listing home inspection can detect previously unknown problems and or potential surprises that you may wish to address prior to selling your home. Giving you a competitive advantage over other homes on the market – helping you sell your home faster and at the highest possible price. It also provides with opportunity to make repairs to your home in advance, helping expedited the sale of your home.
Do new homes need an Inspection? YES!
Building a new home is a tremendously complex endeavor. It involves many people, usually split up into sub-contractor groups, each working on different parts and systems of the house. Even for the best builders, it’s nearly impossible to complete this process without missing something. Maybe it’s a plumbing fixture that did not get tested for leaks, maybe it’s an electrical box that is not working, or any one of dozens of minor problems that can easily be overlooked in such a major undertaking. We will find such problems while it is still early enough for you to bring them up with the builder and have them corrected before you sign-off and start moving in.
For the relatively small cost, a professional inspection of your new dream home can pay big dividends in peace of mind and getting any problems identified and corrected before they can become an unpleasant surprise.
